The United Methodist Young Adults organization (UMYA) was actioned in South Africa in October 2015 under the leadership of Sister Sharon Mguzulwa, who was elected as president at that time. The organization is made up of young adults in South Africa and work under four commissions, namely:

• World Friendship
• Community Service
• Recreation
• Evangelism

The organization’s motto is “The way the truth and the life.”
